Registration has begun for the EMR Jr Wolves Tackle Football Fall 26 Season!  Practices will begin July 14th at Foothills Community Park in Goodyear. Games are scheduled to begin September 5th and will continue until November 21st. All student athletes of any skill level age 8-13 are welcome to join the pack this fall.  Through June 15th, EMR Sports will be offering a $100 early bird discount on signups (details below).   

Wolves Football is a premier youth football program. Our mission is to inspire young athletes to practice discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship in a safe and fun environment. The program is tailored to introduce the fundamentals of football, emphasizing skill development, understanding of the game, and the importance of physical activity.  The coaching staff is made up of former high school and college players and coaches that bring a balance of fundamentals, competition, and fun to the organization. 

 

Program Features

- Age-Appropriate Instruction: Tailored coaching methods to meet the developmental needs of children, ensuring a positive and encouraging learning environment.

- Safety First: Adherence to strict safety protocols, including proper equipment, certified coaching staff, and a focus on teaching safe playing techniques.

- Teamwork and Discipline: Through structured practices and games, participants learn the value of teamwork, discipline, and perseverance, which are essential skills both on and off the field.

- Community and Family Involvement: Encouraging family participation and building community among players, coaches, and parents through team events and volunteer opportunities.

- Controlled roster space:  The Wolves typically cap rosters at 25-30 players on each team to allow student athletes to get larger numbers of reps throughout the season and focused training and development from our coaching staff. 

 

- Practice Schedule: Practices are held at Goodyear Rec or Foothills Park pending field availability Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6pm to 8pm, with practice or games typically on Saturdays.

- Competitive Play: While focused on learning and fun, participants can engage in light competitive play against teams in the same age division, fostering a healthy competitive spirit.

- Season Celebration: The season concludes with a celebration for all participants, recognizing their hard work, improvement, and sportsmanship throughout the season.

Arizona Youth Football League (AYFL)  is the league the Wolves are partnering with for our tackle league. 

 

Expected Age Groups (will vary based upon enrollment):

White Team (9U) - 8-9 years old

Silver Team (11U ) - 10-11 years old

Blue Team (13U) - 12-13 years old

- Eligibility: Open to all athletes from 8 years old to 13 years old. Your athlete’s age as of July 1st, 2026 is their age for the season. The league will NOT make exceptions and allow players to play down based on size or skill level. Players may always elect to "play up" to the next division age group. 

 

Registration includes the following: 

2 Game Jerseys - Carolina Blue and White Camo

2 pairs of Integrated game pants - Carolina Blue and White Camo

Helmet Logo and decals.

 

National Sports ID - Required for league participation - $10 annually

· Black Helmet – Matte or glossy finish
